Test and Measures

No comments:
There are two tests you can do, namely Read stability tests to see if there are errors on your flash drive and read speed, and Write and Read test to determine the speed of read or write flash drive. While the actions you can do is low-level initialization to edit partition information on a flash drive, Save image to save image from a flash drive, Load Image to load the image into the flash drive, and Full Erase to wipe out the flash drive. But before running the test, you must first select the Access Type. To run the Read / Write Stability tests, we must select a logical or physical drive.

Read Stability Test

The first test is Read Stability Test. Select the Access type as physical devices. From there, you have several options. The options related to how much testing you want to do. You can test a full cycle, "burn" where the test will continue until you stop it manually, or you can specify how many cycles are executed. This depends on how thorough you want to do testing. If you just want a cursory test, select a cycle.
After selecting the testing and action, click Start. During the test run block on the right panel to be colored to indicate the test is being done (see picture below). You can also view real-time speed reading near the bottom left corner. After the tests are completed, you will get a simple report in the right panel. In the Read Stability tests, the report will only tell whether there are errors found. You can find more information in the Information section near the bottom left. There, you can see the average read speed of your flash drive.

Write and Read Test

It should be noted that the Write and read test will erase all data on the flash drive. Format the flash drive will also be removed so you should reformat if you want to use it again. At the time of selecting Write and read test, you also have to choose the pattern you want to use. There are two patterns, namely small pattern and a full set of pattern sets. After selecting an option, click Start, and testing will begin. This test will be slightly longer than the reading test only. After the tests are completed, you will be told how to condition your flash drive. As shown in the image our flash drive full of errors.
